Job Overview

The Forklift operator, under the supervision of the Warehouse Manager, will be responsible for operating forklifts to transport goods and materials throughout the warehouse, ensuring efficient and safe operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse or production areas.
• Stack, organize, and store materials in designated locations.
• Assist with inventory management by maintaining accurate records of material movements and quantities.
• Ensure proper storage of goods, avoiding damage and ensuring ease of access.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of forklifts to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations.

• Proven experience as a forklift operator or in a similar material handling role.
• Valid forklift certification (an asset).
• Strong understanding of safety standards and procedures in a warehouse environment.
• Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50lbs, if applicable).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
• Basic math skills for inventory tracking and reporting.
